MAXON software has been used in blockbuster movies such as Spider-Man, Star Wars, The Chronicles of Narnia and many more. CINEBENCH is based on MAXON's animation software CINEMA 4D, which is used extensively by studios and production houses worldwide for 3D content creation. Yes, I'll be upgrading to Ryzen soon, I don't plan to stick with Intel, but I'll be giving this motherboard and CPU to a friend who's still rocking and i3 4140 and would like to have it working properly for him.Tweet Processor performance: CineBench 11.5ĬINEBENCH is a real-world cross platform test suite that evaluates your computer's performance capabilities. Thing is, I used to have a GTX 960 until January of 2020, and with that GPU it wouldn't have trouble running a discord in background while playing the same games, I haven't started playing different games, it just started acting up. Unless you're set on sticking with Intel, snagging one of those is Otherwise you're best grabbing a Ryzen 5 and B450 mobo (which R5 you go with depends on budget, the 1600AF, 2600/2600X, and 3600 can all be solid value options at differing price points). 4c/8t chips can do decently still, so if you can get a 6700/7700/6700K/7700K for less than like. Has anyone experienced something similar or any other ideas about what the issue is? With this many background issues, I can't figure out what could the problem of my low performance be. To fix this I had to disable Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor under CPU Features in my BIOS. My PSU is an Inter-Tech Energon 650W, which I've read bad things about, but I'm not sure if it's actually the problem or not.Īlso, I've had some problems with my motherboard in the past, where it would underclock my CPU to 0.8 GHz and lock it there. I had a friend come over with his PSU, connected it to my components, it booted just fine, then I switched back my PSU and it also booted. I should also mention that this problem started occurring some time after February of 2020, when, one morning, my PC just wouldn't boot up, the fans would briefly spin and then nothing. Therefore, I decided to run Cinebench R20 and I'm very dissatisfied with the score, because when I looked up this CPU I found out that it should score around 1400. Temperatures seem somewhat normal, my GPU reaches 80 degrees in full load while and my CPU reaches about 75 degrees in full load in these games. Basically, my CPU is bottlenecking the GPU quite hard, to the point where games like Fortnite or R6S, no matter on what settings, the CPU usage is 100% while my GPU is chilling in about the 70-80 percents and even my discord stops working (it's stuttering and sometimes I can't hear anything from it, same thing for the people I'm talking to, I'm stuttering hard for them). It's paired with a GTX 1070 and 16 GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM on a MSI B150 Gaming M3 motherboard and I'm playing in 1080p on a 144 Hz monitor. I've been gaming a lot lately and have noticed a huge decrease in performance with my almost 5 year-old i5 6600. Hope you're staying safe throughout this quarantine.
